After the narrow defeat at Wembley the Swedes will be looking for revenge in the Ukraine. And as a key group match both teams will be looking for a positive result. So the atmosphere will be dynamite in Kyiv!
What’s included?
This trip includes access to a licensed match ticket through UEFA, plus two nights at the 3★ Hotel Kozatskiy in Kyiv, return flights from London Gatwick and all transfers. You’ll also have the services of a Thomson Sport host with a local representative for the duration of your trip to make sure things run smoothly, plus some nice little extras including an exclusive ‘match briefing’ from leading performance analysis specialists, Prozone.
Access to official match tickets through UEFA
As England’s only licensed tour operator, we’re in a unique position to guarantee you get a match ticket. The advertised price includes the cost of a face-value match ticket and administration charge from UEFA. On entering the booking process with us the price shown is the advertised package price minus the cost you will pay separately for the ticket directly to UEFA. By booking this package with us this means you have been assigned a ticket by UEFA and have a guaranteed right to purchase. Once you secure your travel package with us UEFA will contact you directly to take payment for the face-value of your ticket. This means you'll be getting your ticket sent direct to you home address from UEFA. It doesn't get any more official than that!
Flights and transfers
You’ll fly out from London Gatwick to Kyiv on the day before the match on a flight chartered specially for England fans. You’ll get transfers to and from the airport, and stadium transfers on match day. Your return flight departs Kyiv to return to London the day after the match.
Accommodation
You’ll stay at the 3★ Hotel Kozatskiy which is superbly located in the centre of Kyiv meaning you can explore the sights and sounds of everything Kyiv has to offer. You’ll share the hotel with other England fans, so the whole place should have a real party atmosphere and you’ll be completely caught up in the UEFA EURO 2012™ buzz.

Exclusive match insights from Prozone
One of these little extras will be a ‘match briefing’ from the world’s leading football performance analysis specialists, Prozone. Before the match you’ll get an insight into the world of performance analysis and how both teams stack up ahead of the big game later that day. It should be an amazing experience, as Prozone will be sharing the kind of performance data usually reserved for professional dressing rooms. Attending these sessions is open exclusively to any Thomson Sport customer who buys this package.

Tickets
Thomson Sport is the ONLY UK operator offering UEFA ‘Licensed’ travel packages, meaning we’re the only company who can guarantee you the all-important match ticket.
The process
• You book your ‘Licensed’ travel package with Thomson Sport, this secures your travel and reserves a ticket for you with UEFA
• We inform UEFA of your purchase with us
• UEFA contact you directly to pay for your face-value ticket on the official UEFA Ticket Portal
• On behalf of UEFA we then collect information about the other travellers on your booking
• Your tickets are sent to you directly from UEFA
• You join us in Ukraine to see England in action
For avoidance of doubt, if you choose to purchase a package including the ‘right to purchase’ you will be required to make two transactions making two separate payments. The first to Thomson Sport to book your travel and secure your right to the ticket. The second is a payment at a later date directly to UEFA though their Official Ticket Portal
The rules
When purchasing a travel package which includes the ‘right to purchase’ match ticket, the following UEFA rules apply:
• You can book up to a maximum of 4 people per match
• You must provide detailed information on every individual on the booking, including passport numbers (see step 3 below)
• You must be a UK National or a UK Resident
Selecting your ticket
When you enter the booking process for one of the clearly market ‘right to purchase’ packages, you will be guaranteed access to a Category 3 ticket by UEFA.
Subject to availability, you also have the opportunity to upgrade your ticket to either a ‘Category 2’ or ‘Category 1’ ticket. Thomson Sport will not be collecting any payment for this ticket (this will be collected later by UEFA), but the category of ticket you select in this booking process for all travellers on your booking will be fixed at this point. You will not have the opportunity to change this selection at a later date with Thomson Sport or with UEFA.
Prices (set by UEFA, payable to UEFA) of the ticket categories:
Category 3 - €30.00 : Category 2 - €70 : Category 1 - €120.00
A €20 booking fee, per booking, will also be required by UEFA at time of purchase on the ticket portal.
Making your booking
Once you have made your ticket ‘Category’ selection continue through the booking process until you have arranged payment and completed the booking. We will issue you with a ‘Booking confirmation number’ which you will require to purchase your face-value match-ticket from UEFA.
In receiving your unique ‘Booking confirmation number’ you will have successfully secured your right to purchase a match ticket from UEFA along with your travel package – you’re on your way to EURO 2012!
The Next step - Buying your match ticket from UEFA:
UEFA are allocating match tickets via the ‘UEFA ticket portal’ which opens from the 12th December 2011. We as a licenced operator, and you as our customer, gain access to this all important Ticket Portal. After securing your ‘Licensed’ travel package with us sit back and relax as your ticket is now reserved we will inform UEFA of your purchase and category selection.
Within 14 days of booking UEFA will contact you directly with an ‘activation email’, to the email address you provided in your booking with us. All you then need to do is follow their instructions, using your ‘Booking confirmation number’ provided to you at the time of booking with us.

UEFA require us to collect some further information about those travelling on your booking (name must be provided at time of booking of all passengers). We will contact you in due course to collect this information:

Once we have received this information, we will inform UEFA and your tickets are ready to be released by UEFA and sent to you in line with the UEFAs standard ticket distribution process outlined on the UEFA ticket portal site.

You'll stay the night before the match and the night of the match, enjoying breakfast each morning.
Situated in the heart of downtown Kyiv on Independence Square, this hotel is situated in a great location, less that a minute away from the central street of Kyiv and just 5-10 minutes away from other major tourist sites - St. Sophia Cathedral, St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery, St. Andrew’s Church and Andriyivskyy Descent. The hotel features 130 comfortable and modern rooms, all of which offer private bathrooms, and some provide magnificent views across Independence Square.
The hotel also boasts Wi-Fi in the lobby bar and reception and a restaurant and Café overlooking the skyline of Kyiv. You're so close to the entertainment district, shopping centres and historical places of interest
A little reminder...
Whilst we have secured a well located 3★ hotel in Kyiv, it would be remiss of us not to remind you that accommodation options in Kyiv are limited, especially around a major football tournament. Please also remember that Ukraine is likely to provide a slightly different star rating system to that of the UK. We're confident however that the Hotel Kozatskiy will provide a great base for enjoying all the football action.
